  • On Sunday April 7th, the Muslim Student Association graciously collected an Award from Student Affairs, to highlight the Tabling for the Children of Gaza we held earlier this year. That tabling success raised hundreds of dollars to provide aid to the children in Gaza that are in need of humanitarian aid. We humbly thank the support we have been given, and for the recognition of this noble cause.

  • Assalaamu Alaikum everyone! On Tuesday, March 19th, we celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of being on campus with our Annual Iman Banquet. The Muslim Student Association represents faith, love, and dedication to each other and Islam. Over the past three years, we have developed and expanded a beautiful connection with students, faculty and staff on campus. Our organization was founded with the intention to increase public awareness about Muslims and Islam, and to enhance a better understanding of their history and contributions to the world. We strive to?counter negative stereotypes and to erase misconceptions about Muslims by fostering cultural heritage, identity and values and their past and present contributions to humanity. It was a commemorative night, and we appreciate all of our supporters who have been building this community alongside with us. A great thank you to our advisors, Houssein El Turkey & Bakhtawar (Baki) Izzat for being encouraging of our endeavors. This event could not have been possible without our executive board, Youssef Ossama, Aiya Chahid, Jafar Vohra, Secora Chambers, Marina khan, Mafiz Shaikh, & Hiba Jaidi who orchestrated all the behind the scenes work, and our peers who assisted in setup until the end. We appreciate all of the support on campus to the fundraising initiatives we held, which raised over $4,000 for Palestine relief. We are grateful to be a part of this community, and will continue to strive in serving it.
