When one chapter ends, a new one begins! Our beloved Mark G. Falcone Director, Nora Burnett Abrams, will be stepping down from her role at MCA Denver on April 1, 2025 to embark on a new journey as the next Ellen Matilda Poss Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art Boston. During her 15 years at MCA Denver, Nora organized more than 40 exhibitions, opened the museum’s second space at The Holiday Theater in Denver’s Northside neighborhood, expanded our teen and adult programming, and greatly advanced the museum's mission by generating new opportunities for our innovative, community-oriented, and artist-driven programming. While the Board commences a national search for our next director, Nora remains MCA’s biggest fan and advocate, championing the museum, welcoming our audiences warmly, and supporting an incredible next chapter for our extraordinary organization. Though we are so sad to see Nora go (we’re not crying, you’re crying), we will be cheering Nora on from afar and cannot wait to see the wonderful work she will do in Boston! ??
