Changing What's Possible in Cancer Care.
关于我们
As one of the leading cancer treatment centers in the Southeast and the only National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center in South Carolina, Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina combines the full range of cancer specialties to deliver a higher level of care to the patients we serve. Our team of more than 60 sub-specialists – each concentrating on a specific discipline of cancer treatment and care – works with individual patients to develop customized treatment programs that target a broad range of conditions. Our specialists work together as a team, often meeting with patients under the same roof on the same day. We are striving to deliver the highest level of care in the best way possible.

New research underscores the importance of quitting smoking as soon as possible after a cancer diagnosis - and should serve as a push to all cancer centers to offer evidence-based smoking cessation programs, researchers say. "This is a survival benefit that we can achieve now," says Hollings' Graham Warren, M.D., Ph.D. "There's an urgent responsibility to make this work." https://lnkd.in/eXuyKmjk

Our Community Outreach and Engagement team was recently gifted with this beautiful quilt. The quilt was made by Lenora Kennedy and presented to us at Day Dawn Baptist Church in Pineville, SC. The quilt highlights what cancer CAN'T do. The church held a full day of events, including a cancer Walk-a-Thon for LOWVELO (they have raised over $12K for lifesaving cancer research) and our MOVENUP Cancer Education Training Session. Thank you Day Dawn!
