Happy International Women’s Day! We are so proud to have a team of incredibly hardworking women here at MANJ. This Women’s History Month, we will be featuring the amazing ladies of our staff, beginning with Stephanie Vigilotti-Derr and Rim Mansouri. Happy Employee Appreciation Day! We are so grateful to our incredible staff here at MANJ for all that they do. This week, MANJ hosted appreciation events every day, ranging from Yoga and Meditation classes, to non-alcoholic Paint and Sip experiences, to catered meals. It was a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and bond with our team. A big thank you to our event planners, including Shamika Claxton, Kristen N., Jessica Rodriguez, Tahra Friedman, Zaineb Saadeh, and Taylor Harrison for making these events possible!

It was an exciting week at Newark Terminal A as we had the pleasure of hosting Munich Airport CEO, Jost Lammers! He visited to see firsthand the incredible milestones we've achieved since our terminal opened in 2023. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, showcase our progress, and give him an in-depth tour of our facilities. A huge thank you to Munich Airport for their ongoing support. We’re looking forward to continuing our exchange program this year, with even more Munich employees visiting to learn from our innovations. Here's to building stronger partnerships and creating even more success together!

As Black History Month comes to an end, we continue to celebrate our expansive staff, and how their backgrounds affect the work they do at MANJ. Sadiyyah Porter-Lowery, MBA and Taylor Harrison shared how their culture has made a positive impact on the work they do, and we are so grateful to have them as a part of our team!

January 12th marked the 2nd anniversary of MANJ operations at Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A, and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to all who have made this journey possible. During these two years, we have accomplished: ? 33 million passengers 20 million bags processed with a sorting accuracy of 99.5% 5 Star rating by SkyTrax 2024 Best New Airport Terminal award UNESCO Prix Versailles award, LEED Gold Certification To all of our partners, including The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Munich Airport International, thank you for your continued support as we continue to work together to provide a world class experience to the passengers of Terminal A. To our retailers and concessionaires, Master ConcessionAir, LLC, SSP Group plc, Villa Restaurant Group, WHSmith, Dirty Soles Footwear Group, LLC., Hudson, and Jackmont Hospitality Inc, we are extremely proud of the service you have given our passengers, and the growth we continue to see since our terminal opening. To our operating airlines, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada, JetBlue, and American Airlines, thank you for your continued cooperation. We are extremely thankful to all our staff for all of their hard work in making Terminal A a 5 Star terminal. We are extremely proud of all of our accomplishments, and look forward another incredible year of operations!

Last week, MANJ hosted its annual holiday party at Liberty House in Jersey City! It was filled with laughter, great food, drinks, dancing, and exciting raffle giveaways. It was the perfect way to unwind and connect with colleagues, old and new. A big thank you to everyone who made the event so memorable — here's to more success and celebrations in the year ahead!

The holiday season has started at Newark Terminal A! Today, as we hosted our annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, we were serenaded by the Dr. Albert Einstein Academy choir from Elizabeth, sweetened up with treats from Bang Cookies, Tonnie's Minis, and Jersey and Co Gelato, and entertained with music from BASH Event Productions. Thank you to all members of the Newark Liberty International Airport & Elizabeth communities for your participation! We look forward to continuing our celebrations throughout the month.

This week, Munich Airport NJ has been hosting a special We Value You Employee Appreciation event. Each day, MANJ has given our 3,300 employees a chance to win a prize from our generous prize wheel!
