A federal jury in Los Angeles has ruled in favor of Disney in Woodall v. The Walt Disney Company finding that Buck Woodall failed to prove the creators of Moana accessed his copyrighted work. Woodall had accused Disney of stealing ideas from his animation project Bucky, citing similarities like shapeshifting demigods and ocean voyages. While this verdict is a win for Disney, Woodall has already filed Woodall II, a new lawsuit over a potential Moana sequel.
