The journey is just beginning, and the best is yet to come!
Many thanks to all panelists/discussant (and many more who allow us to showcase your work) for our invigorating presentation on the "Creating a System of Care for Youth Substance Use in Connecticut." Elisabeth Cannata via Wheeler Health, Keri Lloyd, LCSW via Connecticut State Department of Children & Families, SIENNA MELISSA via MDFT International, Inc, Christine Hauser via Child Health & Development Institute (CHDI), and Sheryl Crawford, LPC, GCADC via Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). An engaging dialogue with nearly two dozen national implementation scientists, researchers, lived experience experts, and up-and-coming professionals/students about Connecticut's system and its evolution. The road is long, and there is a lot more greatness to come! Special shoutout to other subject matter experts (such as Megan Lucas in the photo below) who brought their wisdom regarding Connecticut's and other state's youth behavioral health services. I look forward to next year's Joint Meeting on Youth Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery conference - I hope to see you there! Lessons of the week: -No significant accomplishment can be done in isolation. -Pray to your George Burns. #JMYPTR #prevention #treatment #recovery #youth #TAY #emergingadults #child #behavioralhealth #substanceuse #publichealth #JMATE #JimmyPeter #SAMHSAStrong #NIDA #cooccurring #integrated #addiction #mentalhealth #sobriety #recoveryispossible #wedorecover #healing #selflove #selfcare #motivation #steps
