What makes data fabric an effective approach for defense contractors? In her conversation with Kaycee Lai, Joyce L. Myers, CDO of Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) explains the concept as a bunch of threads woven together to create beautiful solutions. She emphasizes human-centered design principles, focusing on creating delightful user experiences whether for data engineers, financial officers, or anyone needing to answer questions. Her "builder" approach becomes clear as she describes working with existing infrastructure: "I'm not burning anything down. I'm just looking at the house we already have." This practical perspective shows how organizations can enhance data accessibility without disrupting existing systems — crucial in complex environments. Check out the full episode of The Data Fabric Show to learn more about MTSI's implementation approach. William Bryant's article, "Using M&S to Determine Cyber Survivability: Score Small and Let the Machines Do the Math", premieres in the Aircraft Survivability Journal Spring 25 issue. https://loom.ly/ypi-O1I "The FY22 NDAA’s mandate to conduct full-spectrum survivability testing of U.S. air systems across all applicable threat domains—and within current resource constraints—necessitates the use of modeling and simulation (M&S) as a “universal integrator” between these domains." The Joint Aircraft Survivability Program keeps the #survivability community and others in touch and informed of pertinent technical, personnel, and organizational survivability information. #esop #employeeowned #aircraft #govcon #defense

Our Huntsville team donated MTSI's 30th Anniversary Old Elk Barrels for a special collaboration benefiting the Crim Compassion Fund. The Crim Compassion Fund is a charity supporting local pediatric cancer patients and their families at the 1st-ever St. Jude Satellite Clinic. OBOY! Nomadic brewer Stephen Nugent brewed a dopplemaibock and aged it in MTSI's barrels. The release event at Straight to Ale Brewing and a charitable contribution from MTSI raised over $3,500 for the Crim Compassion Fund. MTSI presented the check to Dr. Crim and grateful clinic staff during a Huntsville Hospital's St. Jude Satellite Clinic tour. #esop #employeeowned #stjude #huntsville

MTSI Dayton kicked off the day with a special Valentine’s-themed Chicken & Waffle Wednesday, bringing together around 80 team members for a morning filled with delicious waffles, camaraderie, and great conversation. During breakfast, we lived out our Core Value #9: Social Responsibility by creating Valentine’s cards for the children at Dayton and Cincinnati Children’s Hospitals. We hope this small gesture brings smiles to kids spending Valentine’s Day in the hospital. Small acts of kindness like this are a key contributor to our workplace culture, fostering a spirit of generosity and community. #SocialResponsibility #Culture #BestPlacetoWork #TeamSpirit

Emily Clements and Lori Greek had a fantastic time attending the recent Wright State University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science Corporate Partner Open House at the Russ Engineering Center! It was an incredible opportunity to meet and connect with students, share insights about MTSI internships, and discuss the exciting work MTSI does. They met so many talented future STEM professionals, and it was great to see their enthusiasm for engineering and technology. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat and to Wright State University for the continued partnership! Looking forward to seeing some of these students as future innovators in our field. #esop #employeeowned #STEM #Engineering #Internships #FutureTalent #WrightStateUniversity #Networking
