We are looking forward to seeing how the Budget continues to develop as Legislative Session comes to a close. It's been a long couple of months, and we are proud of the work that our members have put in. As April 7 approaches, MTBMA, the Together For Transportation Funding Coalition, the MOVE Maryland Coalition, and industry voices will continue to advocate for proper funding for our transportation system. Maryland's future depends on it.
Last week was a big one for transportation. Members of the TTF Coalition, Maryland Transportation Builders & Materials Association, the MOVE Maryland Coalition and beyond came together and participated in a Lobby Day. We met with over 30 legislators,?including senators, delegates, and their staff. We urged the pressing need for transportation funding in Maryland. What resulted: the House Funding Plan offered $503 million in 2026 transportation revenue. What's imperative is that this amount is annual - as we need a functioning transportation system in order to sustain our economy. We will continue to advocate. Thank you to our amazing members and industry voices who made your voices heard last week, and who continue to do so! We are looking forward to a brighter, safer, and stronger future for Maryland. #Transportation #Infrastructure #Maryland #MOVEMaryland #TransportationFunding Stephen R.
