Mt. Hood Meadows Resort operates on a special use permit on the Mt. Hood National Forest, offering some of the most spectacular skiing and snowboarding in the Pacific Northwest, as well as incredible hiking in the summer. We aim to be the prime Mt. The resort is close to Portland - just 90 minutes away - and delivers a big mountain experience you'd expect to travel much farther to enjoy. The resort sprawls across Mt. Hood's southeast flank, the sunny, wind-protected side of the mountain. The Meadows array of enrichment includes Cooper Spur Mountain Resort, located on the historic north face of Mt. hood. The day after we conclude our winter recreation season at Mt. Hood Meadows, we always hold a Team Member Appreciation Day, where team members and their families get to ride the Buttercup and Mt. Hood Express lifts while they are closed to the general public, enjoy free food, and get a chance to win skis, snowboards, and other items in an epic raffle. This year, we documented our Team Member Appreciation Day with a Super 8 film camera, which was on loan from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication's Multimedia Journalism program, where Meadows videographer Ben Mitchell attended grad school. Many thanks to the program for use of the camera and handling the development of the film! We hope you enjoy our film, "Meadows Home Movies".
