CORYNNE OJERIO is a senior studying Political Science and Public Policy at Michigan State University. Corynne was born and raised in East Lansing Michigan. She has worked in the Michigan Legislature for over a year under Representative Graham Filler and now Senator Michele Hoitenga. Corynne is interested in Criminal Justice reforms and the improvement of statewide resources. She also enjoys yoga and reading in her past times. #MSUSocialScience #YesPLS

LALI TOBIN is a senior at Michigan State University studying political science while double minoring in Chinese as a second language and peace and justice studies. She was born and raised in Staten Island, New York but currently lives in Tbilisi, Georgia. Lali has played on the Michigan State Club Tennis team and volunteered with MSU PIRGMS to help students become registered to vote in this past election. In addition, Lali has interned with the company NWF (New Way Forward) Strategies, where she assisted several campaign leaders with phone banking and also helped set up scripts for phone bankers and organized events for in person door to door service. Her goal is to work in the United Nations as a Georgian delegate to help the ongoing conflicts with Russia. Lali was one of the MGSP Scholarship recipients for Spring 2025. #MSUSocialScience #YesPLS

JAELYNN SMITH is a dedicated undergraduate student at Michigan State University, pursuing a major in Political Science with minors in Philosophy & Law and Peace & Justice Studies. Actively engaged in academic and extracurricular activities, Jaelynn serves as a Political Science Scholar, Undergraduate Learning Assistant and volunteers regularly at the YWCA in between semesters. Her experience as a Legal Intern at the YWCA, where she provided assistance with legal matters to her community has been instrumental in shaping her commitment to public service. Currently, Jaelynn contributes to her community as an intern supporting policy initiatives at Senator McCann’s office. Recognized for her academic excellence, she is a consistent member of the Deans List and actively participates in various leadership roles, including the Junior Class Council and Chair of the College of Social Science ‘Dean Student Advisory Council. Jaelynn’s passion for promoting equal access to education is evident in her research presentation on the impact of poverty on education opportunities in Belize, reflecting her dedication in advocating for equitable educational opportunities for passionate students worldwide. #MSUSocialScience #YesPLS

SEAN ROBINSON is a senior studying Political Science Pre-Law with a minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy. He is from Huntington Woods, Michigan. He is a member of the Political Science Scholars Program and has previously interned at The Kronzek Firm PLC. This semester, Sean will be interning with Dykema Gossett PLLC. JORDYN PETERSON is a senior studying Political Science and minoring in Law, Justice, and Public Policy at Michigan State University. She is from Macomb, MI. Jordyn is a proud member of Empowering Women in Law, and the Philanthropy coordinator for Days for Girls. She also volunteers with Helping Hands providing academic support to K-12 students in Lansing Schools. Jordyn has previously interned for Chief Bureau Andrea Legendre with the Genesee County Prosecutors Office. Jordyn is interested in pursuing a career in the legal field to help prevent wrongful prosecution, and victim advocacy. She also enjoys promoting good mental and physical health. ANDREW PALMER is a junior studying Political Science-Prelaw and History at Michigan State University. He is originally from Macomb County. Andrew is an active member of the Kappa Alpha Pi prelaw fraternity and a student coordinator for New Student Orientation. He has previously participated in volunteer initiatives through his fraternity’s service branch throughout the Lansing area. He is interning for Judge Michelle Rick at the Michigan Court of Appeals this semester. He is hoping to attend law school following the completion of his degree with a particular passion for public interest law.
