关于我们
The Kinship Care Resource Center (KCRC) is one of five Community Programs of the School of Social Work at Michigan State University and serves kinship families across the state of Michigan. Kinship care is the full time care, nurturing and protection of children by relatives, members of their tribes or clans, godparents, stepparents, or any adult who has a kinship bond with a child (Child Welfare League of America, 2011). Through our Kinship Care Navigators, the KCRC strives to ensure that all current and prospective kinship caregivers are supported and connected with resources and services that they need to ensure the well-being of the children they are raising and to care for themselves. The KCRC also utilizes research to provide education and outreach for communities, agencies, and individuals involved in supporting kinship families.
