Thrilled to announce I've accepted an internship at General Motors for the Fall '24 term! I'll be privileged with the opportunity to work with their manufacturing team as a controls engineer. ?? After three days at Lockheed Martin HQ, Braden Baker and I were able to showcase our skills at their annual Ethics in Engineering event! I'm extremely proud to say we reached the round of 8 out of 70+ amazing schools in attendance (quarter-finals) and be recognized at the award ceremony to receive our $250 prize! ???? It has been an honor to be the representatives of Michigan State University in such a prestigious event, so I'd like to thank Rachel Mangiavellano and Bernadette Friedrich, Ph.D. for acting as our advisors for this competition. ???? I've met so many amazing people from all over the United States and wish to stay in contact with all the amazing students, faculty, and Lockheed Martin employees we got the chance to mingle with as the event ensued. So if we got the chance to speak, thank you! ???? A special thanks to all LM employees involved in the planning and execution of such an organized, seamless, and action packed event! Your hospitality cultivated an irreplaceable experience for all participants and definitely solidified my interest in this ever-growing field! For the past month, Braden Baker and I have been preparing for the annual Lockheed Martin Ethics in Engineering Competition and now have the opportunity to represent Michigan State University as teammates! This competition entails a hypothetical engineering case that requires particpants to study both technical and ethical conundrums in the world of infrared near-earth object detection and open souce artificial intelligence.
