We are a supportive community where IT Professionals and Individuals share their expertise, network, and inspire others.
关于我们
We started out as the Microsoft Midwest Toastmasters Club (we used to meet in Chicagoland and online) - now meets online exclusively for the foreseeable future. We rebranded as the Microsoft Speakers Club and Teresa B. Cyrus helped us in 2023 rebrand as the Microsoft Speakers Hub! In 2024 we have over 2,200 followers, a weekly online show and host the monthly “Journey To The Cloud”. Our two newsletters also are an opportunity for others to become part of the tech community and network with others passionate about cloud, Microsoft and tech in general!

What a great example of questions (and similar to the questions a MVP or FTE will answer when nominating you!) someone should be comfortable answering. The IMPACT you have can be local (user groups, conferences, mentoring, etc.) or now easily be demonstrated world wide (blogging, online shows, Microsoft TechCommunity, LinkedIn other social media, etc.) we are here to help! Communitydays.org - so many places to get involved, so many people to collaborate with - pick your community members (great examples on the MVP website!) Don’t forget the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors, MVPs and Regional Directors in your region/country - if you don’t know them, introduce yourself! If you are traveling, send them a note! Thank you Peter Lurie for a great post - reach out to our super admins and content admins if you have any questions! We are almost 2,700 community members strong!
Leader, technology strategist, mentor, coach, & insatiable learner. Microsoft 365 GBB & MCT. Motto: "Every day: do good, be excellent."
I’ve heard lots of chatter about Microsoft MVPs lately and someone pinged me about if they qualified and should apply. I always answer: can you show over the last 12 months that you have —- ?? demonstrated impact (to both to Microsoft and the broader technology community) ?? demonstrated influence (again to both to Microsoft and the broader technology community) ?? demonstrated technical expertise (in Microsoft technologies) ?? demonstrated community engagement and/or leadership If so, then you might be a good candidate! I think Christiaan Brinkhoff blogged about what the Windows and Devices MVP community/team is looking for last month: https://lnkd.in/eYfVfiqb and that’s another good reference! You must be nominated by an existing MVP or Microsoft FTE. If you don’t know any personally, then LOOK for them in your community. (If you’re doing the things above then you should probably cross paths with several!) By the way, this is a GLOBAL program and people from all over the world are encouraged to work towards this milestone! Official info at https://mvp.microsoft.com/ and good luck! #MicrosoftMVP #TechCommunity #ITPro #MVP #MSFTAdvocate

Sharing an interesting algorithm infographic here… -Dan Rey 3/17/2025 10:16 pm Happy St. Patrick’s Day

I've been on LinkedIn for almost 22 years—joining back when it was a fresh, exciting way to connect when I was in San Francisco. Yet it took me nearly 15 years to make my first post, during which my network grew quietly from 100 to over 6,000 connections. This month, I made a tough decision: I deleted half of my connections. If you're seeing this, you're among the valued people I've chosen to stay connected with. I want to deepen these genuine relationships. But something's changed. Remember when posting meant your entire network got notified by email? Today, the LinkedIn algorithm has changed drastically, making organic reach harder than ever. If I'm lucky, my posts now reach maybe 25% of you. Why the shift? One reason is AI-generated content flooding our feeds, reshaping how the LinkedIn algorithm prioritizes what we see. Check out this insightful graphic detailing how the LinkedIn algorithm is evolving—and not always for the better. [Research Credit: Richard van der Blom, infograph: Chris Donnelly] As I plan my Q2 content for 2025, I'm reflecting: Has the fun and genuine interaction we once enjoyed been replaced by algorithmic guessing games? I'd love your perspective: How are you adapting your LinkedIn strategy for 2025?

Do you trust CTRL+V???
Vertrouw jij CTRL+V?
