It’s September 15th, which means we’re officially in #HispanicHeritageMonth. This month is a time to celebrate the achievements of Hispanic communities across the U.S. and also to recognize that there's still plenty more to be done. As we enter #HHM, here are just a few stats to keep in mind: - Over the last fifteen years, Latino-owned businesses have grown nearly 34%. Despite this massive growth, these businesses are approximately half as likely to get the full amount of financing they apply for compared to non-Hispanic owned businesses. - Despite the reduced access to capital, there are over five million Latino-owned small businesses in the U.S. generating over $800 billion in revenue annually. - When it comes to company leadership, Hispanic people account for only 4% of executive positions in the U.S.? - While nearly 20% of the United States' population is Hispanic, just 6.9% of businesses in the U.S. are Hispanic-owned. And lastly, a statistic that holds a deep, personal relevance to MRN: The failure rate for a business owned by a woman of color is 92% within the first year. Now, more than four years later, we continue to thrive, living in the 8%. As an agency, MRN is a testament to demanding more than just a seat at the table, it’s making ourselves heard in the conversation. What got us here, as anyone at MRN can tell you, has been a combination of real, meaningful support, dedication, and a whole lot of hard work. We had an absolute blast bringing the Vectra AI brand to life with grassroots marketing, immersive experiences, and a new brand campaign on the streets of San Francisco, turning heads and making noise! From our Vectra AI grassroots street teams distributing branded tote bags to #RSAC attendees to the eye-catching LED truck cruising through the city, Vectra AI made its mark. But the excitement didn't stop there! Inside our Vectra AI-themed lounge, Attack Labs Live, attendees found themselves immersed in a world of innovation and possibility with demo stations, coffee bar, and an Apple Vision Pro raffle.
