Hi LinkedIn community! ?? ? I'm beyond excited to share that I'll be joining the Mairs & Power Venture Capital Team as a Venture Capital Associate in June following my graduation from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. I'm thrilled to continue working in the venture capital and startup ecosystem in the Twin Cities and am looking forward to investing in some awesome companies based in the Upper Midwest. ? Mairs & Power Venture Capital formed in 2022 with a focus on high-potential, Upper Midwest-based companies. They now have nine investments in the portfolio, six of those in Minnesota including Lunr, BetterYou, Creatively Focused, SiteKick, akoyaGO , and GEM HEALTH. Mairs & Power Venture Capital is part of Mairs & Power, Inc., an investment adviser with $10.9B under management and a 90+ year history of Upper Midwest-focused investing. It’s exciting to be part of an emerging VC effort within?an established firm,?and I got to meet several of their team members during the interview process. ? I'm eager to bring the skills I've gained from my experiences at Atland Ventures, Bread and Butter Ventures, Availyst (Techstars '22), and Techstars into this full time role and to continue growing in the dynamic field of venture capital. I can't thank those who have helped me along the way enough for all of their support. A very special shoutout to Stephanie Rich for not only being an incredible boss over the past two years, but for being instrumental in providing numerous opportunities that have fueled my passion for innovation and VC, cheerleading me on through anything I've put my mind to, and supporting me throughout my job search.
