At the Minnesota Capitol, lawmakers are sharply divided over Elon Musk’s influence. While Democrats criticize Musk’s approach to cutting government spending, Republicans are inspired to launch their own commission. The proposed State Commission on Government Efficiency and Ethics would mirror Musk’s federal watchdog, DOGE. At the same time, lawmakers are proposing legislation to combat Musk’s alleged attempts to influence elections through monetary incentives.
