Traditional solar tech may be designed for cubes and flat surfaces, but at mPower we aren’t afraid of a curve. Our DragonSCALES cells are connected in both series and parallel so they can reach high voltages in relatively small areas and the size, shape, and layout of DragonSCALES can be customized to enable nearly complete coverage of any surface area – even curved surfaces! Take our work with Gravitics Inc. Their cylindrical space habitat designs will feature DragonSCALES wrapped on the exterior; this wouldn’t be possible with traditional panels! #ICYMI mPower Technology CEO Kevin Hell recently shared his perspective on the state of solar in space on N2K | T-Minus's podcast. "All of these missions require lots and lots of power, but they also require power at low cost and power that's highly resilient. The technology that's been used for the last couple of decades is extremely expensive [and] it's extremely supply constrained. What you really need is an approach that allows you to scale up to very significant volumes, which we do at mPower." Meet Kevin Hell, president and chief executive officer of mPower Technology! He is a seasoned high-tech CEO and entrepreneur with a wealth of experience growing technology companies. With over twenty years in executive leadership roles, Kevin has been at the forefront of driving innovation. The photo below reflects Kevin’s dynamic personality and personifies his passion for leadership. ? Kevin, why did you pick this particular photo? Wakesurfing is one of my passions and something I have done competitively. I have competed and won medals in several masters competitions. There is nothing better than surfing an endless wave with music and a captive audience. And, it’s also how I met my wife! ? What does this photo say about you?? The photo is of an aerial and represents my passion for the energy of getting airborne! ? How does that inform your work? Waves have many instructive lessons for startups and business in general. Like business, timing is everything. If you are too early, you waste energy. If you are too late, you are chasing the wave. But when the timing is just right, it’s almost effortless and the ride is amazing!
