Emmanuel Smadja, CEO and co-founder of MPOWER Financing, shares his perspective on the U.S. elections and the future of America’s workforce: Truly being "America First"—meaning relying less on foreign partners while reshoring jobs—will, perhaps counterintuitively, require the U.S. to more aggressively attract the best and brightest students from around the world, particularly at the graduate level in fields where the U.S. faces a dire shortage, from nursing to cybersecurity to software and electrical engineering.
