Among LISC's Health Access Fund grantees is Mountain Park Health Center, a nonprofit community health center providing affordable primary care to nearly 100,000?neighbors in Goodyear, Tempe, Glendale and Phoenix. LISC Phoenix worked with Mountain Park on the?development of their Tempe location?and later to pilot the delivery of financial coaching services to healthcare employees. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Mountain Park has been able to book thousands of rides for patients to through the LISC's Health Access Fund.

Last week, Mountain Park was recognized as the UnidosUS Affiliate of the Year for the Far West Region at their annual conference! Clarissa Felix, Volunteer and Engagement Manager and Janey Pearl Starks, Equity, Diversity & Community Engagement Officer accepted the award which celebrated our commitment to advancing healthcare equity for Latinos and all communities. Mountain Park Health Center is proud to be one of only five chosen from over 300 affiliates nationwide! Thanks UnidosUS (@WeAreUnidosUS) for your work and this recognition! We were honored to have U.S. Representative Greg Stanton visit our Tempe Clinic today to learn about the Title X services we provide and hear about the challenges women face when accessing reproductive healthcare services. We're grateful for his support for Title X and community health centers like Mountain Park! Lauren Elrod, Mountain Park Health Center General Counsel and Compliance Officer, is a finalist for the 2024 Arizona Corporate Counsel Awards. She joined Mountain Park in 2015 and along with the duties associated with being general counsel, Lauren also oversees the Medical Legal Partnership Program which provides our patients free legal consultations. Finalists of this award represent the finest legal expertise in the private, public, government and nonprofit sectors. Congratulations, Lauren!
