With manufacturing month in full swing, we want to highlight the manufacturing capabilities that we have. Progressive stamping is a manufacturing process that uses a specialized tool and die sets to create complex shapes and designs in metal. This technique enables medical equipment manufacturers to produce larger volumes of components at a faster rate while reducing the amount of scrap metal generated. Since introducing this manufacturing solution, many OEMs have outsourced their progressive stamping to overseas manufacturers. However, the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic uncovered how fragile the manufacturing process is for the completion of medical equipment and how detrimental delays or errors in products are in market adoption. Meet Jon. Jon is one of our Assembly Supervisors who truly loves what he does. With over 30 years of fabrication experience, Jon started his career out of chance, but soon found joy in manufacturing. One of his favorite things about working at MPE Inc. is the opportunities that he has to support improvement plans, and the people he works with. When asked, Jon explained that the people at MPE Inc. make it easy for him to get up and come to work in the morning, and they help him see the true value that our work brings to the world. Outside of work, you can find Jon and his dog camping, or you can find him riding his Harley. During his visit, Bryan participated in a roundtable discussion with other industry leaders to go over legislative issues, updates and policies.
