The Events Industry Council (EIC) announced today that Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center has achieved Silver Level Certification to the EIC’s Sustainable Event Standards. Owned by MPEA and managed by Oak View Group, McCormick Place is one of the first two OVG-managed properties to be EIC-Silver certified. The Alliance for Audited Media, a not-for-profit auditing organization, performed the independent third-party certification of both centers’ compliance with the Integrated Property standard.
