Open letter to Kristen at Tech Crunch, First off, big thanks for the snippet feature. SXSW is always a sensory overload, so the fact that you captured that moment - our Mozee Shuttle next to that Cybertruck - is remarkable. Your comment about "multiple realities" stuck with us, and we wanted to share some viewpoints. To us at Mozee, the image represents a single reality, where two things can be true. That Cybertruck - it belongs to one of our team members, and he's a fan of the vehicle for reasons we completely understand, even if not all of the team agree on some aspects (I am not a fan of the design for example). Love it or hate it, the Cybertruck forces a rethinking of design, manufacturing, and even how people perceive vehicles. It challenges deeply ingrained paradigms - trucks don't have to look like trucks and supply chains don't have to follow similar traditions. That kind of thinking is valuable, even if the execution is widely debated ad nauseum. Here's the thing - disrupting expectations isn't the same as solving problems. The Cybertruck, for all of its boldness, still operates within the same car-centric framework that has dominated cities for decades. It doesn't address the root issues of modern urban mobility - congestion, inefficiency, or access. In fact many so-called "innovations" in transportation reinforce the very problems they claim to solve. We aimed for something different. The other vehicle in the photo - our Mozee shuttle (previously the Local Motors Olli 2.0) - doesn't quite fit into any existing category. People have called it a pod, bus, van, or shuttle - but those definitions fall short in contemporary conceptions. That's why we created modular agile transit (MAT) which is a new category designed to move people in high density environments without adding to traffic or demanding massive infrastructure changes, while elevating experience, safety, and perception of the journey. MAT is about being right-sized. Small enough to navigate urban spaces but flexible enough to adapt to different needs such as campuses, corporate hubs, events, and civic centers. Unlike traditional transit or newer AV solutions, it doesn't rely on optimal weather or dedicated infrastructure. MAT should operate safely even when connectivity drops, solving real-world transit issues rather than making empty bold claims. So yes, both vehicles in the photo push boundaries, but in vastly different ways. One rethinks the truck, and the other rethinks what mobility should be. That's what we are here to do - break free from outdated ideas and conversations about what transportation is, and move people forward with what it can and should be. We appreciate the moment of reflection, and let's keep the conversation going. Thanks again, David “Nemo†Neal II Chief of Design at Mozee Inc. https://lnkd.in/g3tApGNu

Redefining the human journey. Mozee aims to pioneer the creation of a fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the necessary infrastructure to back it up. Here at mozee we truly believe to go places in life, you have to be able to move freely. Which is why we're starting with the 45% of Americans who don't have easy access to mass transit. We’re defining a new kind of freedom.

Mozee’s appearance at AT&T Stadium was an outstanding success, generating significant buzz and making us the talk of the town throughout the conference. The event showcased not only our innovative vehicles but also highlighted the incredible innovation happening in the great state of Texas. Texas isn’t just about vehicles; it’s a hub for technological advancement across various industries, including significant contributions from military and defense contractors. Being part of such a dynamic environment amplifies our excitement about planting roots in Arlington. The overwhelming traction we received not only affirmed our vision but also underscored the excitement surrounding our move to Texas, a state at the forefront of innovation across multiple sectors. We’re thrilled about the positive reception and look forward to building on this momentum as we establish more roots. Special thank you to YTexas for inviting us to be apart of it and look forward for to next year.

Today, our CEO Shawn Taikratoke and Head of Partnerships Hoyt Fuller had the honor of celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) at City Hall in Dallas. Signed into law by President George H.W. Bush on July 26th, 1990, the ADA has profoundly impacted millions of lives, ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities for all Americans. The insightful conversations and inspiring speakers underscored the importance of this landmark legislation, resonating deeply with mozee’s mission. At mozee, we believe that mobility is just the beginning. We design and build each vehicle with a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. We would like to thank John Kalkanli, Chair for the Commission on Disabilities, District 15, for the invite. Today, Shawn pledged that every vehicle mozee deploys will uphold the highest standards of accessibility, ensuring that our autonomous vehicles truly serve everyone.

Late last month we were honored to host a team of Texas A&M University System researchers and testers from Texas A&M Transportation Institute, Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX and #BCDC as we met with a great group of #innovators from Mozee out of Dallas here on Texas A&M-RELLIS. Mozee is in the midst of developing #autonomous electric vehicle solutions for commuter transportation (initially) and then, ultimately, solutions that can support the movement of people and material in a variety of mission applications: airport and flight-line operations, first responder and medical support, and logistics.? The Mozee team toured our facilities, visited the Texas A&M Transportation Institute Connected Autonomous Safe Technologies Lab, received an update from the Texas A&M Innovation Center and toured the TEEX Testing & Innovation Center Disaster City to receive an overview of training and testing activities there. We are looking forward to more detailed discussions on how we can leverage our research and facilities to support them as well as integrate some of their innovation solutions into our #research and #test capabilities.
