Hi all! Fred again ?? Its no secret that I LOVE learning. Its also no secret that I have been learning a lot from the real estate space recently. I recently shared an episode of the Wild Wild Wellness podcast with Josh D'Angelo, PT, DPT, OCS and we were both blown away by the knowledge packed into the episode (link at the bottom). I pulled a few of my favorite quotes and put them below—all of that knowledge was only in the first 8 minutes ?? ?? Make it meaningful: Any time you read ‘real estate’ feel free to substitute ‘at MovementX’ or ‘physical therapist’. Learning from an orthogonal industry at its finest ?? On Stability: ‘The irony is that stability is very very possible in real estate if you are able to dial in on the consistency of actions that it takes to get to whatever goal you are trying to get to.’ ??? On Consistency: ‘The challenge most realtors have is that they never identify what it is they need to do and then have the accountability to do it consistently. And as a result it feels very unstable to them.’ ?? The Long View: ‘The irony is if you can actually generate that action, do it consistently and have the accountability to follow through, over the years when you look back you actually do have stability. Even if the stability is not in your day-to-day or week-to week or month-to-month, it is in the long-term.’ ?? Having a Process: ‘Identify the actions that they need to do consistently, and then have the faith that ‘if I do A, B, and C and I do it every day,’ then eventually it’s going to result in these results.’ ?? Shiny Object Syndrome: ‘Realtors are always looking for the shiny penny or the magic bullet that will produce 10 listings. The reality is it comes back to relationships.’ ?? Simple Structure, Repeated: ‘All you gotta do is identify 3 things. Do those things every day of your career and you keep doing them and that leads to success.’ — Episode: https://lnkd.in/euuX4iw2 Shared by Fred Gilbert,PT, DPT, OCS, Chief People Officer at MovementX #MovementX #physicaltherapist #ptjobs

Josh here ?? here are a few tips on converting leads in your PT practice (whether that’s with MovementX or elsewhere). Once you generate a lead, passively or actively, the next most important skill is to be able to convert that lead to an actual evaluation. But why does this matter? Generating leads is great, but it quickly turns into this question: can you bring them into an evaluation and—subsequently—a plan of care? Leads as a standalone measure are not meaningful! Let’s compare two individuals. Person A converts leads at 25%. That means they will need to find 8 interested patients for every 2 evaluations. This is inefficient and exhausting. ???? Person B converts leads at 75%. That means 8 interested patients would result in 6 evaluations—much better! ?? At MovementX we help our providers build the skills to convert leads to thriving patients. Each provider works with their coach to refine their conversion skills. During the training, you learn things like: ??? Our general framework for effectively converting patients. ?? The BUG Format: How to find barriers to care, urgency for care, and goals for care. ?? How to address common objections and lower the bar for commitment. My favorite quote about selling is: “Selling is never about convincing, it’s always about helping,” from Mark Cuban. Mastering lead conversion helps you be efficient with your time and keep your caseload full—all while elevating your ability to help more people. — Shared by Josh D'Angelo, PT, DPT, OCS, co-founder and CEO of MovementX #physicaltherapist #ptjobs #MovementX

Are constipation issues disrupting your life? Here’s how simple changes in diet, exercise, routine, and positioning (DERP) can offer natural relief! Courtesy of Mattie Overton: 1?? Diet: Add high-fiber foods like raspberries and stay hydrated! 2?? Exercise: Incorporate daily movement like walks and trunk rotations. 3?? Routine: Set a regular bathroom schedule and routine around it. 4?? Positioning: Use a foot stool to improve toilet posture.. #digestivehealth #physicaltherapy #MovementX

Fred here ?? one of the most consistent concerns we hear from those new to the MovementX model is some variation of the question “Where will my next lead come from?” Tell me if this sounds familiar: “This referral might be my last” or “I have to say yes because you never know when they will stop” are mindsets that can paralyze any talented clinician. Building your lead pipeline can be the difference between thriving versus burning out. So what does it take to build a consistent lead pipeline? What system can you use to stay confident that you will always have leads when you need them? “Small things done consistently, in strategic places, create major impact.” — David Allen Find communities that fill your cup & be present with them regularly. Here are a few best practices to consider: ?? Know your spheres: The highest amount of leads come from a small group of referral sources. Know your top 5 communities and lead sources & prioritize time with them weekly. ?? Have a system: Each provider’s successful systems are unique, but there are common traits. As you develop different lead sources and community connections, look to which ones are the best repeat sources of interest. ?? Block the time: As caseloads fill up we tend to abandon our community building and marketing habits. Build 4-5 hours a week into your schedule consistently to allow you to maintain your relationships in small ways over time. ???? Friends and family: The hallmark of any sustainable caseload is the presence of consistent friends & family referrals. Embrace the discomfort of asking your raving fans regularly for referrals. They will be overjoyed to support you ?? The bottom line? A simple, consistent process performed over time > a rush of marketing efforts only when you need it. Build your habits early and often and your confidence & caseload will grow. — Written by Fred Gilbert,PT, DPT, OCS to share with the MovementX community and beyond ??? #physicaltherapist #ptjobs #MovementX

Businesses compete either on price or quality. Think about it—consumers are most likely to go with the least expensive option OR pay more to receive better quality. After all, why would you pay more to receive a lesser product? At MovementX, we compete on quality. Patients who come to us are seeking more/better care than the typical physical therapy experience: ? More time with their provider A more educated, dedicated, highly skilled, and specialty trained physical therapist ?? A better experience Patients will return to us, refer their family and friends, and sing our praises to their community if they feel that value. So how do you deliver such a high value experience? It starts with understanding what patients value. Mission in Action: Our mission promises we will do everything we can to help them move their best, so they can live their best. It turns out that’s right in line with what patients value most. The Elements of Value provides four categories of fundamental elements that patients need: 1. Functional—from saving time to educating them 2. Emotional—reducing anxiety and promoting their wellness 3. Life Changing—providing hope, motivation, and helping them reach the best version of themselves 4. Self Transcendence—helping them do more themselves, and for others, than they thought possible Big picture: If you understand how to deliver on each of these points, patients will keep coming back to you, helping you reach financial stability while delivering a great impact. ??? c/o Josh D'Angelo, PT, DPT, OCS #ptjobs #physicaltherapist #movementx

Hey PTs… co-treatments are a great way to get a second set of eyes on your patients, get feedback from your colleagues, and continue improving your skillset. Yes, but: Setting up co-treatments can be a little more difficult in a mobile model, where you aren’t in a physical space with your colleagues all day, schedules can vary, and payment is tied to the treatment session. That has not stopped MovementX providers from finding ways to make it work. In the early days, Fred Gilbert,PT, DPT, OCS co-treated patients with me. I wanted his expert opinion! When Shira Racoosin, PT, DPT was in her residency, Scott McAfee, PT, DPT, OCS would regularly attend her treatment sessions to provide direct feedback. A mentor/coach performs a telehealth session while the mentee guides in person. One person records the evaluation and the coach provides feedback afterwards. Mission in Action: This provides us the ability to continue practicing at the top of our collective skillset and draw from a broad set of knowledge to ensure our patients are moving and living their best. Big Picture: making sure you are co-treating on a semi-regular basis is fun, leads to growth, and continues to sharpen your skillset that makes you the best ?? c/o Josh D'Angelo, PT, DPT, OCS #ptjobs #physicaltherapist #movementx

Daniel Alcorn PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, Pn 1 wasn’t seeking another job when we reached out to him about potentially joining MovementX, but he was open to the idea. What attracted him most was the style of treatment, which was more in line with how he wanted his treatment to evolve. Once he joined the community and understood the flexibility it offers, he saw so many other benefits. Now we are proud to say Dan is thriving, for all the reasons below and more! ?? Practice Setting Dan is practicing out of his preferred treatment location, a CrossFit Gym, where is able to tap into his preferred patient population and use more aspects of his education (including his Health Coaching Fellowship) ?? Work-Life Balance One of Dan’s goals upon joining MovementX was taking his child to school in the morning. Not only is he now doing that, but he’s also recently had a budding apprentice on a “bring your child to work” day! ?? Skillset Development Dan embraced discomfort to learn new skills in the cash based world, including generating leads and converting effectively. He is now a master at strategies like 30 for $30’s with fantastic conversion rates! ?? Giving back He is now thinking of utilizing his clinical and caseload building skillset to effectively mentor others in expanding roles. It’s a joy to have Dan at MovementX, watch his growing family, and see his expanding impact at MovementX and beyond! ?? #ptjobs #physicaltherapist #movementX
