ATTENTION FINANCIAL ADVISORS: Today begins the ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment Period ?? Your clients that buy health insurance through the ACA Marketplace are actively making healthcare decisions during the next 6 weeks (to obtain Jan 1 coverage) that will impact their 2025. Be sure you have the right partner in your corner to help your clients make the best decisions possible for their unique needs. Are you providing adequate guidance to your clients during the ACA open enrollment period? Here are a couple things you can do to help: 1. Be sure your client knows their MAGI. If enrolling into health insurance coverage through the marketplace, they'll need to know their Modified Adjusted Gross Income to accurately predict what subsidy they may receive throughout the year. This is a big deal! 2. Be sure they know they need to renew their coverage. A simple touchpoint to remind them is sufficient. Even if your client plans to remain on the same plan moving into 2025, be sure they do a double check to make sure that the plan is available in 2025 and that they won't be passively renewed into a different plan. 3. Lastly, if your client is DIY'ing their health insurance coverage guidance and enrollment, they might be missing something.
