There’s ongoing debate about the optimal age to begin #breastcancer screening. While the traditional guideline suggests starting at 40, the situation is more nuanced. Younger women are often not screened due to denser breast tissue, which can lead to anxiety and false positives. However, Dr. Stephanie Bernick emphasizes the importance of considering family history. In some cases, especially if there’s a significant family history, screening may be recommended as early as the early 20s. #WeFindAWay #breastcancerawareness #oncology #breastcancerawarenessmonth?
