MountainView Hospital welcomes Dr. Nelly P. Chow, a highly-trained cardiothoracic surgeon to MountainView Hospital and its patient clinic, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Associates. Dr. Chow brings a wealth of experience to Las Vegas, having completed an advanced Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Health Systems and a General Surgery Residency at the Sunrise Health Graduate Medical Education Consortium, based at MountainView Hospital. Dr. Chow is recognized for her expertise in minimally invasive thoracic surgery, including robotic procedures for lung cancer resection and mediastinal mass removal, and for her work in hyperhidrosis management. Her commitment to patient care is demonstrated through her active participation in cutting-edge research, including her recent publication on robotic resection of large anterior mediastinal masses. On this Veterans Day, MountainView Hospital joins our HCA Healthcare family in honoring the contributions and commitment of those who selflessly served in the U.S. Armed Forces. We recently celebrated our colleagues during Physical Therapy Month! MountainView has a robust team of Physical Therapists with a wide range of experience and clinical expertise. Physical Therapy can be a crucial piece of a patients recovery and play a very important role throughout a patients hospital course. Our PTs in the acute hospital play and important role in preventing decline with early mobility, Improving recovery time, decreasing length of stay, and are integral to safe discharge planning. Patients that require intensive rehabilitation in our Inpatient Rehab facility receive specialized high frequency physical therapy to improve their functional mobility to a point where they can return home and enjoy life at the highest level of movement available. Our patients at MountainView with extensive, debilitating wounds also benefit from our team of wound care trained physical therapists in the hospital and outpatient clinic. Thank you to all of our Physical Therapists that work hard to cause positive change in our patients’ lives!
