On this Veterans Day, MountainView Hospital joins our HCA Healthcare family in honoring the contributions and commitment of those who selflessly served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Each veteran makes a positive impact in our communities through their service in and outside of the hospital. HCA Healthcare is proud to have thousands of military colleagues, having hired more than 60,000 veterans, active duty personnel and military spouses since 2012. Today, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have honorably served and their family members. At MountainView we have 125 colleagues and volunteers who are Veterans. We started today with a flag raising to honor our Veterans, followed by a breakfast. Our military colleagues truly exemplify our mission: Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. #HCAVeterans #VeteransDay

Diwali, also called Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights, with variations celebrated in other Indian religions such as Jainism and Sikhism. It symbolizes the spiritual victory of Dharma over Adharma, light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Many people light oil lamps and candles, and fireworks are set off as part of the celebrations. Happy Diwali!
