The presentation will be led by my amazing colleague Laura Uttley, who understands the nuances of congressional process better than anyone I've ever met. Tomorrow's hearing is a major step towards net-100% renewable energy for 19 Utah communities! The Public Service Commission will hold an impactful hearing (Docket 24-035-55) for the Utah Renewable Communities program. This initiative, involving 19 communities and a significant portion of Utah's electricity load, is poised to bring net-100% renewable energy by 2030. Approval of the solicitation process could mean new clean energy projects, boosting rural economies with tax revenue, and giving residents and businesses energy choice. I'm grateful for the amazing team that has pulled this together and congratulate everyone who has made this possible! More to come on the full program application: Docket 25-035-06.
