Mountain View Seeds was lucky enough to enjoy some stunning views and forage varieties in British Columbia this past week at the RICHARDSON SEED and Terralink Horticulture Inc. Forage Field Day! Mathis Kuenzi, our Director of Product Development, witnessed our varieties in action and heard firsthand feedback from farmers about their performance. The event featured Teton II Tall Fescue, Tetraprime Italian Ryegrass, Alpine 2 Orchardgrass, Devour Orchardgrass, and Sugarcrest Festulolium. Dairy farmers use these varieties for hay or haylage crops, alongside corn for silage. The feedback was especially positive for Tetraprime, which outperformed older industry standards. ?Employee Spotlight of the Month: Jose Sanchez!? Jose has been with Mountain View Seeds for an incredible 24 years, bringing dedication and versatility to his role as a warehouse employee. Wearing many hats, Jose handles everything from blending and palletizing to shipping, making sure everything runs smoothly day in and day out. Outside of work, Jose loves to be active and play sports including soccer, walking, and running. He’s also an avid traveler, having recently returned from Guatemala, with dreams of visiting Honduras next. But his ultimate goal? To visit Jerusalem and walk in the footsteps of history. Jose’s advice for new team members is simple but powerful: “Do your best. Be professional and positive. Pay attention and learn different skills.” Jose believes in the importance of helping others and keeping things positive. Thank you, Jose, for your years of dedication and hard work!
