Mountain America teamed up with the Phoenix Suns/Mercury Foundation and Southwest Human Development for an awesome volunteer event to build, paint and decorate Little Free Libraries. ??? "We are dedicated to actively contributing and making a meaningful impact within our community,” said Nathan Anderson, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Mountain America. “Our commitment goes beyond mere participation—we strive to be a driving force for positive change and growth." These 15 vibrant Little Free Libraries will soon be popping up all over the Phoenix Valley, making books more accessible to underserved communities. Mountain America and KUTV's Pay It Forward program contributed to West High School students Shalin and Tien's fundraiser for leukemia patients. The students named 12-year-old Hazel Lakey, who recently completed her chemotherapy after a two-year battle with leukemia, as their "honored hero."
