In the Arizona desert, Sierra DeGroff ran her fourth 100-mile race of the year, the Javelina Jundred. Two weeks on from running a 17-minute marathon PR of 2:52, Sierra took her Mount to Coast R1s to the trails, brimming with ambition for a 15hr trail 100. The result wasn’t what she hoped for, but solving that puzzle is all part of the fun. On Instagram she wrote: “100 miles is a long way and even after completing a handful at this point I will be the first to say it can sometimes be a wild ride!” The season’s not over yet – good luck for the next race Sierra!
