Now Intermountain Health, we support children and families with preschool, pediatric behavioral health and foster care.

关于我们

Now Intermountain Health, Mount Saint Vincent’s mission is as relevant today as it was 140 years ago—to partner with children and families so they can heal beyond trauma into a healthy and hopeful future. We support children and families with pediatric services across this continuum of care: Pediatric Behavioral Health Therapies ________________________________________ Outpatient Therapy (ages 2-18 years) Individual, family and group therapies—in office or through telehealth when appropriate—focusing on partnerships with children and parents to ensure the best outcomes. In-Home Therapy (ages 2-12 years) Family-based, trauma-informed therapies supporting families with children living in their homes who are experiencing behavioral, emotional and mental health needs. Day Treatment and Education (ages 5-13 years) A least restrictive environment serving children who are struggling in traditional school settings featuring a therapeutic milieu to successfully reintegrate them back to their schools. Counseling Modalities ________________________ Our Masters level clinicians offer evidenced-based counseling modalities specific to client needs including: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), play therapy, trauma therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. We provide evaluation and assessment to place children and families within the most effective treatment plan. Additional Programs Completing Our Continuum of Care ____________________________________________________________ In addition to behavioral healthcare, we offer: Foster Care Program (ages newborn to 18 years) Our comprehensive program provides training, certification and individualized support to foster families while providing 4-hour care to children who cannot remain in their homes. Community Preschool (ages 3-5 years) Part of the Denver Preschool Program, our early learning center serves all children. It has earned five out of five stars with Colorado Shines, the high-quality rating program for preschools.

As part of our Kids in Construction series, the students in our Day Treatment and Education program had an amazing time with Layton Construction and Phaze Concrete! The day was packed with hands-on learning and fun activities. Participants explored what general contractors do, played with kinetic sand construction sets, and enjoyed coloring and activity books themed around construction. They even watched exciting videos featuring construction work, building implosions, and all the incredible equipment used on-site! The highlight? A special visit to the parking lot where our friends from Layton and Phaze brought an excavator! The demonstration was a hit, complete with waves, fist bumps, and impressive tricks that had everyone cheering! Thank you to Layton Construction and Phaze Concrete for an unforgettable day of learning and laughter! Thank you Denver7 (KMGH-TV) for shining a light on the urgent need for foster parents in Colorado. With more children in need of homes than available foster parents, it's time to step up. Mount Saint Vincent is committed to making a difference. As our Foster Care Manager, Bri, so perfectly put it: "The system shouldn't raise kids, families should raise kids." Watch the full segment to learn more about how you can help foster a brighter future at https://lnkd.in/g3tBy-JY

Growing smiles and pumpkins at Mount Saint Vincent! Thanks to a generous grant from the Colorado Garden Foundation, our kids have been hard at work in the garden, and the results are as heartwarming as they are beautiful! From digging and planting to harvesting, the garden has become a therapeutic space for our preschoolers and students in the Day Treatment and Education program. The pumpkins are coming in just in time for fall, and the kids have learned some important lessons—like not all peppers are created equal in spiciness! #preschool #ChildrensMentalHealth #facilityschool

Last week was electrifying at Mount Saint Vincent! Encore Electric brought the energy with a hands-on Mobile Escape Room, challenging our students to wire up outlets, switches, and lights while racing against the clock. Their creativity didn’t stop there—students also got to light up their imaginations with custom electroluminescent wire sculptures. From flamingos to flowers, their designs truly shined! Mount Saint Vincent is wrapping up the final day of the 2024 Annual COLORADO COUNSELING ASSOCIATION Conference at the Keystone Resort & Conference Center. This annual event brings together mental health professionals to strengthen advocacy efforts, empower clinical practice and advance the profession. It's also an opportunity to professionally develop, connect with others, be encouraged, rest and reset. The breath-taking view of Lake Dillon and the mountains was a?perfect reset before reaching Keystone. Jessica Ladd-Webert, LPC, director of the Office of Victim Assistance at the University of Colorado Boulder, created another one. During her presentation, she reminded those treating trauma patients to take care of themselves. The framework for her three times for self-care (preventative, in the moment and after) and three types of self-care (energizing, grounding and emotions) was simple--self-care is not selfish. We are people first and helpers second.
