At the Genesee County Land Bank, we're not just tearing down old structures - we're building a brighter future. Since 2004, we've demolished more than 9,000 blighted structures and secured more than $165 million to fight blight through demolition, brownfield remediation, and community maintenance. Here are the current numbers for 2025: Funded demolitions with current funding - 1,910 Demolitions contracted and in progress - 1,372 Structures demolished - 926 Demolitions out to bid or preparing to bid - 98 This transformative work is made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act funding from the City of Flint, Genesee County, and the State Land Bank Authority, with steadfast support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, HUD, and many others. View our full annual report here: https://lnkd.in/ekaGn-Md Every structure removed opens the door to neighborhood revitalization and creates exciting new opportunities for reuse.
