We are excited to share groundbreaking research published in the Journal of Hand Therapy on the "Utilization of the External Rotation Abduction Thermoplastic Shoulder Orthosis (ERATSO) for Adolescents with Birth-Related Brachial Plexus Injuries Following Shoulder Reanimation Surgery." This study, led by MOTION PT experts Ann Marie Feretti, EdD, OTR/L, CHT, Victoria Ferrante, OTR/L, CHT and Manisha Joshi, OTR/L, CHT showcases a novel two-piece orthosis design tailored for adolescents. This ERATSO addresses the unique challenges of maintaining shoulder stability and functionality post-surgery in adolescents, marking a significant advancement from its use in infants. ?? Preoperative Fabrication: Reduces disruption to healing structures and allows precise positioning.
