We're hiring a Chief of Staff at Mother Ventures to play a key role on our team! We're looking for an action-oriented, community-minded, entrepreneurial, passionate person, who loves wearing many hats, getting involved, and learning new things quickly. This is a unique opportunity to help build a venture firm from the ground up. You'll be involved in EVERYTHING at Mother Ventures, as we invest in companies making life easier, healthier, more rewarding, and less stressful for moms, parents, and children. Extremely excited to announce the launch of Mother Ventures and our first investment, FamilyWell Health. In January 2022, I became a mother and was forever changed in so many ways. I love my daughter more than anything and I love being a mom. But raising children is also…a lot. At a societal level, there’s just not enough support, space, funding, time, innovation, access or attention, and the struggle is real. Moms, parents, and caregivers feel beaten down and overloaded, and they’re willing to invest in the products and services that can relieve some of the pressure. So much potential for good – and good business – is just sitting there, untapped and unresolved. Mother Ventures channels the financial and social capital of mothers to power the next generation of companies built for moms and families. Across the US, 85M mothers control 85% of household purchases, with a spending power of over $2.4T. We’re the first venture capital firm to focus specifically on the mother as consumer (building on and inspired by the work of so many). FamilyWell is the PERFECT first investment for Mother Ventures. Dr. Jessica (Schiffman) Gaulton MD, MPH is a mother who experienced postpartum depression, and decided to create a solution for all mothers. She’s a force.
