Dear Friends and Supporters of Mother Seton Academy, ? It is with mixed emotions that I announce the departure of Dr. Gregory Sucre, Principal of Mother Seton Academy, who will be moving on to a new position as Principal of Cristo Rey High School. Dr. Sucre’s decision to pursue this new opportunity comes after an extensive and impactful career, including many years of service at Cristo Rey, and after eight years of dedicated leadership at Mother Seton Academy. We are grateful for the significant contributions he has made to our school and its community, and we wish him the very best in this next chapter of his career. During his time at MSA, Dr. Sucre’s leadership has been integral to the growth and success of Mother Seton Academy. His commitment to academic excellence, faith, and community building has shaped the lives of countless students and families. “I am absolutely sure that each coming year will see Mother Seton Academy continue to grow and serve its constituents,” Dr. Sucre shared in his resignation letter. “If I did not confidently believe that Mother Seton Academy was in competent and mission-focused hands, I would not have been able to consider this step.” ? Under Dr. Sucre’s guidance, Mother Seton Academy became a place where students not only thrived academically but also developed a deep sense of spirituality and responsibility. He worked tirelessly to ensure that the school maintained high standards and created an environment where students could excel in both their studies and their character. While we will miss Dr. Sucre’s leadership and calm presence, we are excited for his next opportunity and the new challenges he will undoubtedly excel at. He will remain with us for the remainder of the school year, and we are grateful for his continued dedication to our students and staff during this time of transition. ? Looking ahead, we are confident that the foundation Dr. Sucre built will serve as a strong launching point for the future of Mother Seton Academy. As part of the transition process, I will be working closely with faculty, staff, and our Board of Directors to gather input on the qualities we seek in our next principal. We are committed to finding a leader who will continue our mission of providing a tuition-free Catholic education that transforms the lives of our students. ? In closing, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sucre for his years of service and the lasting impact he has made at Mother Seton Academy. As Dr. Sucre himself said, “Our families’ commitment to achieving the best for their children and the students’ desire to be their best selves… will forever sustain me in a world that sometimes encourages cynicism and apathy.” ? Today we gave a tour of Mother Seton Academy to Peter Kirchgraber who has taken an interest in our mission and our students outcomes.
