Mother Sauce Creative created a new visual identity for a brand new communications agency, The Next Wave PR, founded by Rizzi Stigliano & Jillian Elder. Our mission was to create a visual identity that encapsulated the wave-making buzz of TNW’s PR strategy. When developing the brand we knew it was important to communicate the agency's core values of honesty and their no-nonsense approach to public relations. We represented the idea of honesty visually with transparency which can be seen in secondary and tertiary logomarks, while the primary logomark combines a bold, hyper legible typeface with a curvy wave-like type to convey their results-driven approach to making waves. The secondary logomarks were made from an anagram of the agency's name which is overlayed onto the primary typeface. The anagram and its type forms were used to create patterns for the use of social media templates and print assets. We also experimented with a color exclusion technique when combining the anagram logo with photography to create a colorful, see-through effect. This communicated outcome of TNW's strategic approach to communications: the transformation of an image and how one perceives it. Check out the full project over on our Behance, linked below!

In 2023, Mother Sauce led the rebrand of the Juliette Group communications agency, formerly JLPR, helmed by Juliette Levy and Carly Rickards, specializing in beauty and wellness. The project redefined the agency's brand identity through an in-depth discovery phase, followed by the creation of a visual identity anchored in their newly defined ethos. Our visual identity drew inspiration from the radiant solar power of the sun and stars, reflecting the agency's boundless entrepreneurial spirit, and space-age technical expertise harmonized with the groovy vibe of the approaching 1970s. The revamped visual identity features a logotype combining midcentury curves with a classic editorial typeface, creating a logo with a cosmic and classic feel. The Editorial typeface references the agency's print journalism work, supported by Helvetica Neue, inspired by NASA's technical papers. The illustrations and custom icons are influenced by space-age design, with a vibrant color palette referencing solar energy. In January 2024, the agency relaunched as Juliette Group, with a newly designed website, social templates, and full suite of agency tools crafted by our Mother Sauce team. For the launch of amika's newest frizz fighting pro and at home treatments, Mother Sauce Creative teamed up with our friends at Juliette Group to bring Amika's Smooth Over product to life at a custom built pop-up in Manhattan's Nolita neighborhood for the brand's VIPs, influencers, and press. Drawing inspiration from the coquette trends of the moment, the custom pop-up build included the ?? Amika Silky Smooth Bow Bar and Salon ??, where guests could get hair styles featuring braids and bows, led by celebrity hairstylist Pekela Riley. Megan Mussari was on-site personalizing silky smooth pillowcases and satin head wraps for the girlies to ensure their hair stays smooth while they rest. Guests nibbled on custom jello bites from Solid Wiggles and sipped on smoothies customized in product colorways ways, while they enjoyed?interactive photo moment builds, a customized gifting bar, and tarot card readings done in an 'amika minute' (the same time it takes for the at home treatment to work)?— spoiler, the future is smooth sailing for everyone ?? Mother Sauce Creative led and oversaw the end-to-end production of the pop up and launch event including ideation, creative direction, location & venue scouting, and fabrication. Though the project began in the fall of 2023, in just under seven days we took this from approved concept and rendering to a?finalized built brand experience, resulting in over 1 MILLION impressions and rising!
