She brings valuable experience in Estate Planning and will focus on this area of law as she grows her practice with our firm. Outside of the office, Madison enjoys quality time with her husband, Austin, and their shelter dog, Audie, who loves accompanying her on walks. A true sports enthusiast, Madison is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the OKC Thunder. Kinzie is originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma and is attending law school at Washburn University School of Law.?Kinzie recently learned she received Top Paper in her Transactional Drafting class at Washburn. Morris Laing is excited to welcome Mitchell Southerland to our Wichita office as a summer clerk! Mitchell Southerland is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mitch attended the University of Oklahoma for his undergraduate degree, spent a couple of years in Chicago and then moved to Wichita in 2016 to work for Music Theatre of Wichita. He is currently attending Washburn University School of Law. Mitch’s first career was in the performing arts as a production manager. In that role, he worked in many different cities across the country on both sides of the employer/employee divide. Over that decade, he gained an understanding of labor and employment dynamics and decided to become a lawyer to help employers and employees make the most out of their working relationships. Mitch would like to eventually serve the specific legal needs of the live events and entertainment industries. At Morris Laing, Mitch hopes to explore areas of the law that are related to employment and have the opportunity to interact with clients. Outside the office, Mitch and his fiancée spend time doing projects on their home in Riverside. A few years back, they built a deck, where they enjoy hosting friends as often as possible during the summer! He also might also be found listening to live music or taking his motorcycle on a cross-country camping trip. Welcome Mitch!
