Since the enactment of the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA), 62 biosimilars have been approved, 41 of which have launched. Additionally, the U.S. Senate in July 2024 passed the Affordable Prescriptions for Patients Act to limit the number of certain types of patents that can be asserted during BPCIA litigation.
