Morgan-Keller's Commercial Facilities Maintenance (CFM) team recently volunteered at the Frederick Chapter of Blessings in a Backpack, an organization that provides weekend meals for approximately 4,000 local school-aged children. We sorted and organized bins and boxes, counted food items for distribution, and wrote inspirational notes for the children’s meal bags. We also made repairs to one of their porches, ensuring a safe and functional space for their efforts. This amazing event not only strengthened our team bonds but also allowed us to give back to our community in a meaningful way! #Teamwork #Ownership #Professionalism

Morgan-Keller is excited to announce the completion of EDE Apartments in Frederick, MD! This new community includes five four-story buildings, with 350 luxurious Class “A” apartments. Residents can enjoy a state-of-the-art clubhouse with an outdoor pool, a fully-equipped fitness center, co-working spaces, and meeting rooms. This project wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved. We’re excited to see residents enjoy this incredible new space!

On Wednesday, Oct. 30th, Morgan-Keller celebrated a key milestone for Meritus Commons with a topping-off ceremony. The final roof truss was raised, bringing the project one step closer to completion. The new graduate housing facility will support the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine, which is set to welcome its first class in July 2025. This will be the first new medical school in Maryland in over 100 years.

Our Halloween Party and Costume Contest was a huge success! We celebrated with pizza, and some team members even brought in spooky desserts to add to the festive spirit. Team Member Spotlight- Jas Pineda Jas Pineda’s journey reflects determination, growth, and reinvention. After a decade as a hairdresser and assistant salon manager, she pursued her interest in construction, joining Morgan-Keller as an intern last May. She quickly advanced to Project Engineer and recently earned a promotion to Foreman. She shared that “It’s never too late to change careers and try something new. Groundbreaking for the Junction Apartments took place on Monday, October 21st. This development features two affordable multi-family buildings located on opposite sides of West South Street in Downtown Frederick, MD. The building at 511 West South Street is a 5-story podium with 115 units, while the building at 524 West South Street is 4 stories, with 64 units. The project is designed by Consolidated Design and developed by Taft-Mills Group in conjunction with New Harbor Development. #Teamwork #Ownership #Professionalism?

Four of our women team members attended the Women in Construction, Inc?Conference on Friday, October 18th held at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View in Arlington, VA. The Women in Construction (WIC) Conference is the East Coast's premiere forum for education, professional development and networking for women in the build industry.
