Proud to welcome Cortica, the leading care provider for autistic and neurodivergent children, as our seventh portfolio company. The burden of autism has increased five-fold since 2000 with total costs rising in parallel. Across our health care system, care and payment models haven’t kept pace with this growing prevalence -- leaving many unmet needs for this population. We also know that employers are increasingly interested in implementing new solutions for caregivers in the workplace. Families with an autistic or neurodivergent child are often faced with delays in in diagnosis, uncoordinated care across clinician teams and limited data to inform clinical measures. Cortica addresses these challenges by bringing behavior and medical care together. They’re the only player in this field capable of addressing whole-child needs. Recognizing these dynamics, Morgan Health will be focused on expanding access to care for autistic and neurodivergent children. Here are our top priorities for this investment: - Integrating Cortica’s care solutions into health benefit design (via value-based contracting). - Establishing service level agreements with insurer carriers to accelerate diagnosis and treatment. - Expanding Cortica’s community presence to build on their existing geographic footprint of 24 “medical homes” across eight states. ?
