Turn to page 49 in the Spring edition of environment coastal & offshore (eco) magazine to read the spotlight titled, “Robust Bathymetric Data Aids Hurricane Recovery” by M&E’s Vice President David Coggin. “As a result of Hurricane Idalia, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) needed to assess any subsequent shifts or possible impediments to the channels and Aids to Navigation (ATON) located along the Suwannee River. The new channel limits of the Suwannee River caused by the hurricane’s storm surge were unknown to FWC. To fill knowledge gaps and provide a baseline for which FWC could make data-led decisions, a bathymetric survey was required.” To read more, visit: https://lnkd.in/eiCzUXHq #marinesurvey #bathymetry #coastalconservation

With recent increases in #coastalsurvey projects, Morgan & Eklund (M&E) has made an investment in a new survey vessel. Joining M&E’s current fleet is a Carolina Skiff 21 LS, ideally suited to supplement our efforts for inshore, inlet, and harbor project areas. The vessel will support efforts in difficult-to-access shoaled areas and provide our clients with the enhanced efficiency of multi-vessel acquisition on calmer days.
