Honored to have U.S. Senator Ben Cardin visit the Hoen Building on October 5! ?? A big thank you to Bill Struever for his wonderful introduction to kick off the event, celebrating Senator Cardin’s commitment to historic preservation and support for New Markets Tax Credits. Senator Cardin took a tour of the space, and we’re grateful for his continued leadership in uplifting Baltimore! #HistoricPreservation #CommunityImpact #Leadership #HoenBuilding #SenatorCardin #BillStruever Cross Street Partners

Yesterday, Cross Street Partners, along with our friends at the Historic Tax Credit Coalition, had the great honor of celebrating the career and impact of US Sen. Benjamin L. Cardin. In his decades of service, Sen. Cardin has been a vocal champion for economic development, historic preservation, and neighborhood revitalization programs, including the vital #HistoricTaxCredit and #NewMarketsTaxCredit. Without these programs – projects like the 83,000 SF Hoen Lithograph Campus in East Baltimore (pictured), would not be possible. We are grateful to celebrate the achievement of the CNI @ Hoen & Co. and the future of the #HTC and #NMTC programs with Sen. Cardin, our tenants (Morgan State University, Morgan CARES, City Life - Community Builders, ABC Greater Baltimore, Project JumpStart, Inc., and Living Classrooms Foundation) and our tax-credit investment partners and champions in Hoen (National Trust Community Investment Corporation, U.S. Bank, Cinnaire, City First Bank, Telesis Corporation, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation Maryland). #historictaxcredits #newmarkettaxcredits #historicpreservation #economicdevelopment #communitydevelopment #baltimoredevelopment

I was told you should never post on Fridays, but hey. After 10 years of working in youth development with students ages 11 through 20, I want to take our efforts deeper. I realize that some of my colleagues on LinkedIn may not have all the information about what we do or how we do it, which can hinder their ability to connect with us on a deeper level. So, here’s an opportunity to share more about our vision. As I move forward in my career, and as we look to relaunch in FY 25-26, we’re setting a goal to serve 100 youth in a really deep and meaningful way. Now, I know some of you might think, "100 kids? That doesn’t sound like much." But it’s important to understand that we’re talking about making a profound, life-changing investment in these kids. We’re not an organization that’s focused on serving a large number of kids with a surface-level, quick fix. No, we are committed to serving the most disadvantaged youth who need—and deserve—a deep, sustained investment. Our goal is not just to reach more youth, but to truly transform the lives of the ones we do serve. This is what makes our approach different. As we gear up for this next phase, I invite you to learn more about our work and how you can help us make a lasting impact. Join us for next?week's RCMI?Seminar?Series?featuring Mr. Alphonso "Mayo" Jr.,?Founder, Servant Leader, and CEO of?Mentoring Mentors, Inc,?on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, 2-3 pm. Please come and support Mr. Mayo, a Morgan CARES Community Partner for an?in-person,?interactive presentation at Dixon'sTravelers?Auditorium, Room 125. On this day, we pause to honor the memory of those we lost on 9/11 and to recognize the extraordinary courage of first responders, survivors, and all who came together in the face of tragedy. We remember the resilience of a nation united, standing strong in the pursuit of hope, healing, and peace. #neverforget #september11
