Earlier this week, Dr. Alireza Sayah, Ph.D., P.E. of our engineering practice presented major changes in structural masonry codes to the Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT) - Dallas Chapter! Dr. Sayah provided a packed room with valuable insights into the significant changes in TMS 402-22. His presentation highlighted key modifications including the introduction of compression-controlled sections in strength design, clarification of effective shear area, and MORE. This understanding of the mechanics of structural materials allows our engineering practice to design safe structures MORE economically.
