Last week we were honored to participate in the Chicago Park District's First Annual Teen Opportunity Fair for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Brighton Park Community Center. We worked with One Summer Chicago to assist young adults seeking summer jobs. Commissioner Arfa moderated the "Building the Future" panel event to discuss insights from Deaf professionals on school, employment and advocacy. The Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities is hiring a Director of Finance to oversee MOPD’s financial operations, including its accounting, audits, budgeting, and grants administration. This director will work closely with the Office of Budget and Management, City Comptroller’s Office, and delegate agencies and advocate for MOPD’s budgetary needs. To qualify, the director must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field and a minimum of five years of professional financial management experience.
