The Moore School District has provided excellence in education to students in the metropolitan area of Moore and south Oklahoma City for more than 100 years. The principles that guide this district include high student achievement, outstanding instruction, and strong community involvement. Success in these areas continues to make Moore one of the state's finest K12 public education institutions. Moore Public Schools offers Pre-K through 12th grade in the suburban areas of Moore and south Oklahoma City. With a student population of over 24,600, the system is one of the largest in the state. Our district encompasses 35 schools in 159 square miles. Through the years, the district has maintained a tradition of high student achievement, outstanding instruction, and strong community support.

I look forward to seeing how it will be used and seen, and at the same time, we invite you to be a brand ambassador with us and for our new logo. This new mark represents our incredible history and all the good things to come. ? After 22 years with the same mark, any organization’s logo can become modified without having dedicated brand guidelines. We recognized it as an opportunity to rebrand and publish new, customized brand guidelines for MPS. It is such an honor to have listened to what our stakeholders believe and expect of us, and now present our new logo during this time in MPS’s history. ?     In cooperation with the Mayor's office and City Council, the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City recently recognized an outstanding teacher in the community - our very own Tobi Gordon from Brink Junior High! ???? Tobi has taught deaf education across all subject areas at Brink Junior High School since 2022 and is a member of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. She strives to create a learning space where deaf students not only succeed academically and linguistically but also help them to build confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging within their classroom environments and their community at large.   • At the regular March BOE meeting, members of the Southmoore DECA Chapter were honored with medals for their recent State contest wins by Career Education Coordinator Rocky Dickinson and Asst. Superintendent Jimmy Martin. Huge congrats to these students from Southmoore High School: ?????? Ariel Annan, Morgan Shade, Tulsi Patel, Karelyn Berg, Jackson Austin, Tejas Patel, Radha Patel, Richard Sanchez, Andrew Lee, Sarah Nguyen, Ryan Spaulding, Ayden Serrano Also, Dr. Romines had the privilege to read a letter from Elisa Boozer to the BOE, thanking them for continuing to honor the Pre-Olympic Activity Program. This policy - that not all districts have - made her dreams of Olympic competition and finishing high school this May with a high GPA and more than $500,000 in scholarships a reality. ??   • FREE ACT FOR JUNIORS! All MPS juniors will take a free ACT on April 1 at their high schools, and no sign-up is necessary. ?? ? **Freshmen, sophomores, and seniors will have a Virtual Learning Day on April 1** - This assessment fulfills the federal requirement for assessing students in grades 9-12 for math and ELA, including students with disabilities and English Learners. - Students must also take the writing section. - Students must take the state ACT in April to meet the graduation requirements. #mpspride #lionpride #jaguarpride #sabercatpride #k12education

Applications must be postmarked by March 20 & received by March 26. ????
