Our favorite day of the year is that first Monday back from the holidays. Resolutions loaded, projections locked, visions ready to launch! As we enter into 2025 with over over 675 projects completed in our 32 years, we will challenge ourselves to continue to work hard but to also pause and celebrate the wins. We look forward to another year of turning our clients’ dreams into reality.

Phase 1 of this adaptive reuse project is nearing completion and we couldn’t be more excited as we transform an abandoned high school into a community asset. Phase 1: Nelson County Health Department

The Refuge on Memorial: a place for the unsheltered. We are extremely humbled to be part of this amazing project that will become Lynchburg’s largest shelter facility. The renovated facility will provide a safe, dignified, and supportive environment for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity. It will be open 24/7 and features an overnight emergency shelter, warming/cooling center, and day shelter/drop-in center. Daytime Adult Care Center. A Space of Comfort, Community & Care. We’re thrilled to unveil this beautifully designed adult day center, crafted with love and care by the Moore Architecture team! Every detail has been thoughtfully planned to create a warm, welcoming, and accessible environment where our elderly members can feel right at home. From open, sunlit spaces to cozy gathering areas, our center is designed for socializing, relaxation, and enjoyment. With adaptable activity rooms, a sensory garden, and barrier-free design, we provide an inclusive space where everyone can thrive.

The Crown’s Ember restaurant renovation gives new life into the +50 year old Crown Sterling. Many of us have memories of going go the Crown Sterling for special occasions like prom, holiday parties, and anniversaries. To be part of this reimagining process that honors a community staple is a wonderful experience. Grand opening is October 15th. We had a fun time at the Roots and Reconnection Festival at Thomas Jefferson’s Popular Forest Home! Architect Kelvin Moore serves on the board that assists with the historic preservation of this national monument. Poplar Forest is Thomas Jefferson’s personal retreat. It is one of only two homes Thomas Jefferson designed and created for his own use. Designated a National Historic Landmark by the Secretary of the Interior, today it is an exciting opportunity to experience the award-winning rescue, archaeological exploration and restoration of one of America’s most important national landmarks.
