This week we welcomed Maddingley or 'Maddi' to the incredible People and Culture Team at Moorabool Shire Council???????? Maddi is our new People and Culture Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assistant. Maddi has been designed to nurture employee development, facilitate communication and streamline P&C processes. In short, Maddi is an extra pair of hands in the P&C team who can quickly answer questions about a range of P&C policies, procedures, strategies, guidelines, frameworks and our Enterprise Agreement. Maddi is equipped with citations (to promote a wholesome learning journey) and direct access to members of the P&C team to elaborate on responses or provide additional support as required. ????An Active Transport Loop will be delivered in Gordon, funded by the Federal Government and Council! ??The loop will see footpath works connecting the key recreation areas of the town, including the Gordon Recreation Reserve and Paddocks Creek Reserve, meaning pedestrians can better separate from traffic, particularly school children. ?The project will finish loops and limit dead-end footpaths in Gordon, which the community has long advocated for. ??We were successful in securing $678,825 from the Federal Government's Active Transport Fund, with Council providing matching funds towards the $1.357 million project. ??Pictured are Moorabool Shire Councillor Ally Munari, Member for Ballarat Catherine King and Council's General Manager Community Assets and Infrastructure Phil Jeffery. ??To see more from our Advocacy Prospectus, visit https://ow.ly/Kxcf50V81Sn

???At the end of 2023, we introduced three Electric Vehicles to Council's fleet, and they're already creating a positive impact! In just one year, we prevented an estimated 4 tonnes of CO2 going into the atmosphere from tailpipe emissions! We also eliminated the need of approximately 4500 litres of fuel??? ??As we continue to explore ways to reduce our environmental footprint, we're proud to take real, measurable actions towards a cleaner, greener future! #MooraFacts #TheMOORYouKnow

??TRANSFORMING BALLAN ?? ??Our library staff recently took a sneak peak inside the new Ballan Library and Community Hub! ??The plastering of the ground floor and brickwork on the first floor has been completed.
