Thank you for the amazing messages about our new first step in MoonXcribe of laser etching your messages of love, life and remembrance onto titanium foils that will go to the Moon by 2030. Apologies that my co-founder Antony Day C.Eng M.Sc B.Sc MIET and I can't respond to all of those kind messages. They are truly appreciated. In response to our recently posted laser etching video conducted with the UK's AMRC North West some of you asked how we will get the messages onto a scroll rather than a single piece of titanium. So here's how, to keep you all in the loop. Should be self explanatory in the photo. Two drums with synchronised motors and guide rollers with the laser etching device above and in the middle (not shown). At MoonXcribe we follow the KISS strategy.

So you can’t have Dec without Ant and that’s the same for the MoonXcribe founders. Recently Antony Day C.Eng M.Sc B.Sc MIET and Prof. Nick Colosimo MSc PgC BSc(Hons) CEng FIET FIKE FBCS FRAeS joined me at Strathclyde Business School to record some videos for my students who are working on a project for MoonXcribe in their #distuptivetechnology class. This video is one half of the duo where Antony Day C.Eng M.Sc B.Sc MIET gives us a short introduction. In this short clip Antony highlights the transferable experience from the #babyindustry to the #lunareconomy, he teases with a quick reveal to his time on a #BBC programme which in partnership with his wife they won a contract with Boots UK for their baby range. More on this to follow in up coming videos. We had so much fun making these videos and we have many more to share. Including how one of the founding partners is fondly referred to ‘#Jamesbonds Q’ for his innovative thinking! One thing for sure is all three of us had plenty to talk about! All will be explored in our next videos. A number of new speakers have been confirmed in recent weeks for the upcoming 'Space: Securing our Entrepreneurial Future' conference at Strathclyde Business School, organised by Dr Sharon Lèmac-Vincere. Allan Cannon, CEO and Founder of Krucial, will be one of the speakers during the two day event on May 16 and 17. Allan will be discussing setting up and launching Krucial, a business which helps other businesses of all sizes to achieve their aims without being limited by location or communications infrastructure. Gordon Merrylees, Head of Ventures at investment firm?N4 Partners, and?Craig Clark MBE FREng FRSE FIES, who founded Clyde Space Ltd, Glasgow's first space company, are also both on the list of exciting speakers. Another speaker on the list is?MArc Kneppers, Vice President at Dominant Information Solutions Canada (DISC). DISC provides services domestically and internationally to government and industry in areas such as cyber security, cyber breach and incident response. Eric Alter, senior vice president and cyber engagement lead at Marsh will be talking about the domains of space, cybersecurity and underwriting risk. Antony Day and Professor Nicholas Colessimo, founders of MoonXcribe, are also on the conference schedule, joined by?Arthur van der Wees, attorney at law and managing director and founder of Arthur's Legal, Strategies & Systems;?Professor Neeraj Suri, chair in cybersecurity at the University of Lancaster and?Wing Commander Jason Vaughan,?Officer Commanding, GEOINT Tech Ops Unit,?National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence (NCGI). Professor Nicolas PETER, President of the?International Space University?and Professor in Space Policy and International Affairs, will of course be featuring at the conference which follows the three day Executive Space Course being held in Scotland for the first time, hosted and developed by Strathclyde Business School with the International Space University. Caroline Baylon?of Said Business School will be delivering a joint session with organiser?Dr Sharon Lemac-Vincere?related to the geopolitical challenges at the intersection of space and cyber?on May 16. Caroline has been working in the field of foresight, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence for a number of years. Other Strathclyde academics taking part include Professor?Massimiliano Vasile?from the Department of?Mechanical and Space Engineering, and?Professor Malcolm Macdonald, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Director of the Applied Space Technology Laboratory at the University. They will be sharing their views on the future of space and cybersecurity. The conference will be preceded by the Space Executive Cybersecurity course by?Strathclyde Business School?in partnership with?International Space University.
