Andy Koester and Nick Meurer were recently on-site in Crisfield, MD to discuss nutrient loading optimization in the Chesapeake Bay, supported by funding from The Campbell Foundation. Known as the “Crab Capital of the World,” Crisfield faces growing challenges from rising sea levels and extreme weather events as it works to preserve shellfish populations and the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem. Moonshot Missions continues to engage with the Town of Bowling Green, VA, including site visits and workshops. India Adams-Jacobs, MPA, Town Manager has advocated to explore the needs of both the water and wastewater systems.
