???Jakarta’s Waste Management Challenge: A Field Research Adventure??? In collaboration with?Mitsui Indonesia, we embarked on a field research journey to tackle Jakarta’s mounting waste management crisis.??? With a rapidly growing population and inadequate infrastructure, the city is grappling with environmental and public health concerns.??? Our mission was to understand the behaviors, values, and pain points of Jakarta residents, as well as the challenges faced by waste collectors.???? Through in-depth interviews, observations, and behavioral experiments, we gained invaluable insights into the current state of waste management in the city. We discovered that residents are willing to separate waste if provided with better systems and guidance.???Our behavioral experiment demonstrated a promising 54% participation rate and an impressive 84% accuracy rate in sorting waste when proper garbage bags were readily available.?? However, we also uncovered a significant lack of public awareness regarding recycling efforts. ?? This highlights the need for targeted education and awareness campaigns to drive positive behavioral change. Our field research findings have provided a solid foundation for future decision-making and the development of innovative solutions to address Jakarta’s waste management challenges. Want to learn more? Check out our blog! Yui Aiyama, from Moon Creative Lab, navigates the Field Research process. ??????https://lnkd.in/giUipdCt Stay tuned for updates on our progress in transforming waste management in Jakarta! #Jakarta #WasteManagement #Sustainability #FieldResearch #Recycling #EnvironmentalImpact #BehavioralChange #MitsuiIndonesia #MoonCreativeLab #SocialImpact #Innovation

"Why pitch if you know you're not going to win?" - real question asked to me. Well, we have to try! But also because we’re here for something bigger! So last night Yuki Obata and I pitched at Rocket Pitch Night Ibaraki! The main point for us, beyond awareness is the already awesome connections, introductions and opportunities coming up from the networking! And to just meet inspiring people too! That's our "win" so far and it's leading to better things, each meeting. Tomorrow, Yuki and I will be pitching AGAIN! At YOKOHAMA CONNéCT powered by Venture Café Tokyo! Let's see... that's in-person and online too. https://lnkd.in/gXxXSdtS It's our chance to "win" the Yokohama Regionals, but also to just meet awesome people! Watch online by registering: https://lnkd.in/gXxXSdtS Thank you to everyone who supported us yesterday for Ibaraki, both in person and online! #VentureCafe #PitchNight #Japan #startups #socialimpact #RPN

The Product manager utilize the AI ???? A judge at the SF City Conference ??♀?A director Product manager and lead UX at US startups ??A founder of "AI Founders' Mindset" Podcast ???

??Hello! from Tokyo?? The podcast "AI Founders' Mindset" ??? 129. Bridging the Gap: Empowers Gen Z in Japan: Yuki Obata ISSHO Inc The full episode is from here: https://lnkd.in/gu7X5YKG ????Please subscribe to it, and give your LIKE and comments!???? I was so amazed that Yuki Obata is an "Intrepreneur" of ISSHO Inc, Moon Creative Lab and she has a unique perspective. Her mission is to help match Generation Z with Japanese companies, a major social issue in Japan. Japan's population is declining and it is becoming increasingly difficult to recruit young people. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ?? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The 3 key takeaways from the conversation with Yuki today: 1. Empowering Gen Z and Solving Talent Gaps in Japan Yuki’s startup, ISSHO, focuses on bridging the gap between Japan’s declining youth population and corporate hiring needs. By creating short video content tailored to Gen Z preferences, such as TikTok-style office tours, ISSHO helps companies showcase their unique cultures authentically.? This approach resonates with Gen Z job seekers, who value transparency over traditional, text-heavy job postings. Example: Instead of using generic websites, ISSHO? helps companies produce 30-second videos that highlight team dynamics and work environments, making it easier for Gen Z to connect with their potential employers. 2. Understanding and Collaborating with Gen Z: A Solution for All Generations Yuki’s observations about Gen Z revealed key challenges: a lack of focus, an obsession with social media, and a deep need for authentic connection, which often leads to feelings of loneliness. However, these aren’t just Gen Z issues—they reflect challenges faced by all generations. By understanding Gen Z’s behaviors and needs, we can address our own struggles with connection and communication, paving the way for better collaboration across age groups. Example: Yuki pointed out that Gen Z’s phone obsession stems from a desire to feel connected, not from a lack of interest in the world around them. She encourages managers and teams to see this behavior positively and build authentic, meaningful interactions to foster stronger bonds. 3. The Challenge and Resilience of Pivoting as a Solo Founder Yuki shared her decision to pivot from HR tech software to video content creation after realizing the market demand wasn’t there. ? As a solo founder, she navigated tough decisions and overcame loneliness by networking and seeking support in Tokyo’s growing startup ecosystem. Example: In December, after a year of effort on her first product, she chose to pivot to video content, emphasizing adaptability as a critical entrepreneurial skill. She credited Tokyo's supportive startup community for helping her stay motivated. #GenZ #Japanesemarket #WorkinJaoan #Tokyostartupvisa #Japanworkvisa #Digitalnomadvisa, #Japanesestartups #Hiring
